Last Time ON............

The Adventures and Mishaps of Taking Daisy's Picture,
Daisy was yelling and throwing objects at the photographer.
Today she was ALL smiles with no supermodel outbursts!

Her morning started out with some breakfast at a local resort.
Mommy and Daddy all to herself and a plethora of photo backdrops!
A little lemon appetizer before her bagels were served.

Then she got to splash in the fountain.
She didn't even dive in this time!

"Give the palm tree a hug, Daisy!" And she obeyed with a smile on her face.

Gotta take time to smell the geraniums.

This little miss ran around carrying her flower and water cup. I committed a minor party foul by trying to help her carry her drink while we were walking through the lobby. She let me know about my mistake by shrieking at the TOP of her lungs while everyone looked to see how I was abusing my child and didn't stop until her cup was safely back in her arms!!

Secret: place baby on a midsize ledge for photo taking. Baby can not run away! Give baby a flower and have an assistant (DaddyO) give instructions on proper posing. ie..make silly faces to get baby to smile/laugh!

Letters of Intent

Foursons

Dear DaddyO,

Problem #1: When we receive an hysterical letter from the HOA informing us of ridiculous violations, PLEASE don't throw the letter away. My first thought upon reading this letter was "This will make a perfect Letter of Intent!"
Since I didn't memorize the entire violation, I needed to refer back to this letter for my post. In an attempt to remedy the situation, I had to email the Compliance Coordinator for our HOA and ask if I could please get a copy of the letter. I did not think she would understand why I needed another letter when you had already taken care of the problem!

Problem #2: After receiving a 2nd copy of the violation letter, PLEASE do not delete the email! Now I don't have the proper information to adequately write my Letter of Intent for the second week in a row!

These problems have forced me to include you in my blog post for today!

Love,
Your wife who obviously needs to be more clear about her blogging needs and wants!

p.s. Thanks for playing along, DaddyO, and pre-approving this letter so I wouldn't have to skip Julie's meme this week. Everyone knows that it was impossible for you to know I would want to save a Compliance Violation letter!

Go visit Julie at Foursons for more Letters of Intent.

Thank You Very Much - 3/4/2010

The Daily Dribbles

It's Free Therapy Day! Free Therapy Day! Tra-la-la-la-la!
Sing along with me everybody!

OH Ashton, Thank You Very Much for having a COMPLETE meltdown about the underwear I picked out for you this morning! I thought I was doing everything right when I chose Red Transformer underwear for you AND Bailey. Why oh why did you flip out because Bailey was wearing the ones you wanted to wear? They are EXACTLY the same! From now on, I will be doing us all a favor and let you pick out your own underwear!

To the little girl in Bailey's class, Thank You Very Much for refusing to scoot over so I could sit by my son. Even when I begged nicely! When I come to the school it is to help out the teacher, but mostly to be there and be involved for my son. You can sit by your Mom when she comes to help out! K? And NO, I am not behaving like a child by worrying about who I get to sit by Thank You Very Much!

Oh yeah! Go get your free therapy from Kmama at The Daily Dribbles.

And another sneak peak:

This little lady was ON FIRE yesterday! Lots of editing!

TST - Recycled Ashton

Rachel says it is OK to dig in to the blog archives and use a previous post for True Story Tuesday. So today, that's what I'm gonna do. Nothin' miraculous, amazing or outrageous but mostly hilarious and totally true!

This was originally posted on 6/9/2009:

You may remember, from a previous post, that I enjoy killing birds! And if I can get rid of two of them with only one stone I am a happy camper. So close your eyes and imagine my joy from this day: (um, you may want to read this before you close your eyes! tee hee!) Ashton, Daisy and I were in the family room watching a little Spongebob. The room looked like a disaster area. Blocks and lego discs all over the place. There were also crumbs everywhere from snack time gone bad! I was trying to figure out how I was going to get the place cleaned up. Then it hit me: Ashton LOVES to vacuum. Every time we are vacuuming around the house he asks if he can have a turn. So I said to him "Hey Ash, I'll let you vacuum in here if you clean everything off the floor." His eyes opened wide and a huge smile came over his face. He immediately started picking things up off the floor and had finished the job in about 5 minutes! He then spent the next 20 minutes vacuuming.
Happy kid: check
Clean family room: cha-eck!

Yesterday(6/8/09): I decided to start having one-on-one time with each of the kids. Every Monday, I will take one of them to swim all by themselves at Grandma's. No competing for Mommy to watch their pool tricks! Last night was Ashton's first turn. When we got in the car he was smiling from ear to ear! And he kept saying "I don't know why I'm so happy!" Cute boy! He had a lot of fun having Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa all to himself.

Today(6/9/09): Ashton is mad at me because I wouldn't let him have cookies for breakfast. He said "If you don't let me have cookies I'm not going to listen to you!" Then he locked and slammed every door upstairs. Cute boy! I am taking deep breaths and trying to ignore him!!

Now you should go visit Once Upon a Miracle for more true stories and maybe post a story of your own! Old or New!

IheartFaces - Week 9 - Hilarious Outtakes

Just thought I would reminisce about these recent outtakes.

Miss Daisy trying to pull down the tree instead of sitting with her siblings for a quick pic by the tree.

Yelling (in Daisy jibberish), pointing an angry finger at me AND throwing teacups in my direction just cuz I was trying to get some Valentine shots! Sheesh!

This is why Daisy's photo in the above header has a different back-drop than the other kids. Instead of sitting by the beautiful greenery, she decided it would be more fun to dive in to this little  fountain. Because of her soggyness we had to immediately end the photo shoot.

Cute little Daisy is the most recent cause of outtakes only because she has not yet learned that it is easier to just grin and bare my photo taking attempts. The older kiddos already have a lot of experience and they are now very cooperative for me. If I had time, I would go through the last 10 years of photos and find similar outtakes from when they were in the learning process!

Go visit IheartFaces to see more hilarious outtakes!
