If you made it through all of the award business, I have a special treat for you: Comedy at my expense!
Today was soccer games for all the kids. I overheated at the boys' 9am game so I decided to observe Lily's game from the airconditioned comfort of the minivan. I even brought a tv to keep the boys occupied. About half way through the game, Bailey decided he HAD to go to the bathroom. There are only porta-potties at this park and I didn't want to lug EVERYONE out in to the heat. We had an empty cup in the car so I told him to just "go" in the cup and then we would dump it out. I was sitting on the edge of one of the middle seats and he stepped to the back of the van to relieve himself. All of a sudden, I feel something hitting my back. I think to myself "That CAN"T be what I think it is!" I turned around and much to my horror Bailey was spraying the entire back of the car like an out of control fire hose! I started screaming for him to stop but he wasn't sure how to control the spray and the cup at the same time. So I continued to get sprayed in the back! I was NOT happy, but I hope you enjoyed this story!

A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That
The kiddos got flu shots this week. I obviously didn't have my head screwed on tight when I thought I could complete this task ALL by myself! I must have blocked the painful memories of last years flu shots when Daddy D was there to help out! Ashton volunteered to go first (repeat from last year). He jumped a little when he got his shot and I could see him thinking about crying by he didn't. Champ! We decided in the car that Bailey would go 2nd. While Ashton was getting his shot Bailey hid under the chair (repeat from last year). I was afraid I was going to have to pull him out myself and drag him to the table, but he only put up a little fight and hopped up and got his shot. He did cry for a few minutes. Lily put up the biggest fight (repeat from last year). She was hoping to get the spray-up-the-nose vaccine but the Dr told us they had used up their current supply earlier in the day. Bad bad luck! She cried and screamed and I tried to lift her up on the table while holding Daisy at the same time. When the nurse got close to her she would cry "NO! No! NO!" Eventually she did get her shot and was fine by the time we left the room! Miss Daisy didn't know what was coming so she was easy to get in to position and she only cried for a minute! Next year I need to remember: TAKE A GROWN-UP HELPER!!!
Miss Daisy is 13 months old. I had the customary photo shoot complete with trying to get her to keep the dang headband ON HER HEAD. I try to tell her that she needs a little something on her head to break up all the.....head! (when is this girl gonna get some hair?) She prefers the look below which is not helpful in keeping strangers from thinking she is a boy!
There is something living in the bush in our front yard. Whenever I get out of the car and can hear it rustling around. I wasn't too freaked out until my Mom put crazy ideas in my head about all the different animals that could be in there! Here are some of the choices:

Why Read My Blog - Blog Hop
Lily is always coming up with a good contest to have on the blog (minus prizes). She also inspires me to post using alliteration. It would be so sad if you missed glimpses of our future teenager when she says things to me like “You are ruining my life and I’m only 9!!!!!” (due to early bed time and having to clean her room). Just imagine the damage we will do by the time she is 18! You don't want to miss that comedy!Reason #2
Ashton does and says the funniest things. He creates amazing things from empty diaper boxes and is a great helper around the house.Reason #3
Bailey learns interesting dance moves from someone we have never seen or met. If you need a contraption, Bailey is your guy. He is also interested in photography.Reason #4
Miss Daisy is learning and experiencing new things every day and loves to share her adventures! A day without seeing those blue eyes would be a trajedy!Reason #5
I manage to find the comedy in our crazy life and torture my children with photo shoots on a regular basis. All for YOU to enjoy right here on my blog! I also create new words that you can use to impress your friends!
p.s. if you checked all those links, you are a ROCK STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Special thanks to Purell Hand Sanitizer for sponsoring this blog hop.
I ♥ Faces - Completely Candid
The girls were dancing in Lily's room and I peeked in to get a shot for my Project365. I don't know exactly how it happened, but my finger hit the shutter button just as they looked at eachother like this. Pure Luck!!!

Five Questions Friday

Alrighty then! I am going to participate in Mama M's "Five Questions Friday"
Here goes!
1. What's your favorite line from a movie?
-My favorites, that I can remember right now, are from kids' movies that I have seen a million times. First from Monster's Inc when Mike sings "Put that thing back where it came from or so help me.....so help me.....so help me....and cut!" I really love that movie
And 2nd, I love the movie Cats and Dogs. We call the kids Scooby Dufus all the time. And I love it when Mr. Tinklestein gets out of the bath and his friend says "I love your fur! It's very slimming!"
And duh! I almost forgot my VERY VERY favorite: "As You Wish." Do you know what movie that is from? Oh Man! My ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!
2. What "group" did you belong to in high school? Goths, jocks, preps, drama, nerds?
-I didn't really belong to any "group" in high school. I was almost anti-social. I had a couple of good friends that I spent most of my time with. But if there was a "cool girl" in a class of mine that didn't have another "cool friend" to cling to, they would always sort of hang with me. I don't know?
3. If you had $1000 just for yourself what would you spend it on?
-new clothes, scrapbook supplies, pedicure, facial, dinner and a movie with Daddy D. All in the same day, please! -or- I would really love a laptop.
4. What was your favorite childhood cartoon?
-I LOVE Tom & Jerry!!! My kids love it too and if it's on it is always our first pick of cartoons to watch!
5. What kind of sleeper are you? Back? Tummy? Side? Sprawler?
-I sleep twisted, which leaves my arms in severe pain most days. From about my waist down, I sleep on my stomach. From the waist up I sleep on my side. It really doesn't sound very comfortable and I wake-up A LOT with my arms asleep. My feet never sleep under the covers!
Let's hear your answers to these questions! Visit Mama M at Five Crooked Halos to get the deets!

What Would Your Children Say Wednesday
Marianne at Family American Style is mixing it up a bit in her post today so I decided I would do a little something different as well. Instead of things my kids have said I will show some of their comical moments that I have been able to capture with the camera. I like to call them "Exploring Their World" moments.
Lily puting on her own make-up. She had it all over her face and hands but didn't get ANY on her shirt or anywhere in the house. I showed her what she looked like in the mirror and she said "OOOH! Take it off Mommy!"
Lily emptying my drawers and putting my very attractive bikini on over her pj's.
Bailey unloading the wipes. Look at that huge stack he had already pulled out. How long was that boy left unattended?
Cute boys unloading the toilet paper. I turned around for 2 minutes to brush Lily's teeth and this is what I found when I turned back!
Darling boys destroying the gingerbread house! They could not stay away from this thing. I don't know if you can see the blank spots where they pulled off the candy and each of them had a hunk of gingerbread in their hands. And they probably shouldn't be standing on the rocking chair like that. Very Dangerous! When I caught them this time, I said "You guys are in so much trouble! Don't move so I can get a picture!"
