TST - Another Potty Post

Yay! It's Tuesday and time for True Story Tuesday! Click over to Once Upon a Miracle to hear other hilarious tales and if  you're lucky maybe even more bathroom related true stories.

We are watching Elf right now and I am using DaddyO's computer to try to get my TST post in before midnight. I tried to write a post last night but I couldn't think of anything interesting. I spent the day cleaning toilets and got some interesting inspiration. I hope you're not sick of my "potty posts!"

My boys have a very special "bathroom philosophy." Their goal when they need to "go" is to try not to touch ANYTHING. You see, if you don't touch anything, you don't have to waste time washing your hands! So they go in to the bathroom and they don't lift the toilet seat, they don't touch "themselves" when they are going and they usually don't touch the flusher!!! The result of this fine philosophy is that there is pee left IN the toilet, ON the toilet and ALL OVER the  floors and sometimes the walls. I really enjoyed cleaning up after their "philosophy" today! Usually Lily and I notice their "time savings" when we sit down to use the toilet and we get up all wet!

Boys Boys Boys!! I told them that they need to wash their hands just from exposure to the germs in the air in the bathroom.

HHHAHA! Okay, my boys don't go that far, but that still doesn't explain WHY I also have pee in the toilet, on the toilet, and all over the floor??!!!

I gave up on the hand washing. They never had an issue with it, they just couldn't remember to do it. I put a big bottle of GermX in their bathroom and instead of washing, they just sanitize. Of course, when I see them come out of the bathroom, I still have to say FLUSH & SANITIZE!!!

LOL Thankfully, Buddy is a pretty "clean" pee-er. He always wipes up if he dribbles and he knows there is NO MONKEY BUSINESS when using the potty. I'm so grateful!

Oh dear Heather!! Nothing like a nice WET toilet seat.... Ewwww...

I was fortunate and if I may pass along my fortune. When the time came for our son to be potty trained, The Fireguy trained him to sit when he piddled!!! Both men still do so in the comfort of their own homes, but do succumb to 'the stand' when using public toilets! So much cleaner... My dear daughter is trying to train her husband to do the same, until then HE cleans the bathroom!

Good luck!!

Oh my gosh - that SO sounds like a boy... figuring out how to get out of something (even washing their hands, go figure, LOL).

I have to admit, it made me laugh. And it also made me giggle about the fact that I pat my kiddo on the bum to help him "shake it off" and I have seen him pat his own butt now, LOL.

You ispired some hilarious potty stories the past two weeks - and we have been laughing at all of them!

Thanks so much for linking up!

I was so excited that my 3rd was a girl for one reason that I was not having another that would pee standing up. Our bathroon no matter how much I try to clean it stays gross.
