Feelin' Crafty?

Just thought I would share some crafting blogs that I stumbled upon recently.

Holy Halloween Crafts!! They posted a different Halloween craft every day in September. Then they had a Linky Party and tons of people shared their Halloween crafts

Here are 2 projects that I made:
I didn't set these up right for the photo shoot! The striped "o" is supposed to be in the middle!
The instructions for these darling Trick-or-Treat bags did not call for any sewing. But, since I have a Handy Dandy Sewing Mama, she helped me with the stitching around the circles and letters. I also got all of the fabric from her! Thanks Mom!

A Good Laugh to Start the Day!

This morning Ashton wanted to take his spider book to school with him. I told him no because it wasn't his day to take show and tell. He was mad at me.
Then in the car, just as he was about to get out, he showed me a picture he had drawn and said "Hah! I'm going to take this!"
I rolled my eyes at him and he said:
"MOM! You have to give me respect!"
I laughed my head off! I don't think that was the response he was going for. Where do 5 year olds come up with it?! I've never told him he has to give me respect!

Yesterday:
Ashton made a little book of pictures that he had drawn. Since the tape and the staples were safely hidden away he had come up with another way to bind his book. GUM! He decided he wanted to take the book to school to show his teacher. I said "ok, but don't tell her how you glued it together because it's kinda gross!" He agreed.
This morning the boys told me that Ash had given his teacher the book and he didn't tell her how he glued it but while he was showing it to the whole class Bailey let EVERYONE know about the gum! They said the whole class laughed. Oh the comedy!!!

Oh Ashton!

This morning Daisy and I were sleeping in (8am) and Ashton came in to see us. He said "Mom, you can sleep all day because Daddy already made us breakfast!"
He was holding something in his hand and I could tell that it was covered in tape. I usually hide the tape, but I had some out to wrap presents with and he grabbed it! I was a little angry. I said "If you guys don't stop getting stuff out of the scrapbook room, you are going to get in big trouble!"
He said "It's the Polar Express!"
They had watched the movie at school the other day. I smacked myself in the forehead and realized what a creative and smart thing he had done. He had taken an empty diaper box and cut out train cars and then used paper to make the wheels. What is a little tape compared to an art project? Especially instead of watching tv! Man he's cute! He also combed his own hair today!
