Oh Ashton!

This morning Daisy and I were sleeping in (8am) and Ashton came in to see us. He said "Mom, you can sleep all day because Daddy already made us breakfast!"
He was holding something in his hand and I could tell that it was covered in tape. I usually hide the tape, but I had some out to wrap presents with and he grabbed it! I was a little angry. I said "If you guys don't stop getting stuff out of the scrapbook room, you are going to get in big trouble!"
He said "It's the Polar Express!"
They had watched the movie at school the other day. I smacked myself in the forehead and realized what a creative and smart thing he had done. He had taken an empty diaper box and cut out train cars and then used paper to make the wheels. What is a little tape compared to an art project? Especially instead of watching tv! Man he's cute! He also combed his own hair today!

Naughty or Nice?

Lily just wanted to get it over with! She really just wanted to write a letter!

Ashton was in awe just to be in Santa's presence!

Bailey could have sat and talked all day! Motioning with his straight hands as he explains something important.

Hello December!

When Lily was in 1st grade she started giving me a hard time about what clothes she would/wouldn't wear. She refused to wear anything with a bothersome tag, anything that felt a little funny and absolutely NO JEANS! If I made her wear something she didn't like, they would come home from school with mysterious holes in them. She didn't like it when I would patch the holes! hee hee hee! I bought every color of pants that had a soft elastic waist and no "riding up" in the crotch. Then, about a month ago we were all out shopping and Donn spotted some really cute jeans and top and he talked Lily in to trying them on. After about a minute, she came skipping out of the fitting room announcing that she loved jeans! Donn will be doing all of her clothes shopping from now on!! It still took a little harassing to get her to wear the outfit to school but now that she's gotten used to the jeans she loves them and even has more than one pair. She said to me the other day "You should tell everyone on your blog that I love jeans now!" hallelujah

Ashton loves to take baths, especially when Daisy or his green army men get to join him! **edited** 12/12 Tonight Ashton had stallion dressing on his shtrimp and pea pad linguine. I don't know where this silly boys comes up with these words? He makes me laugh a lot!

Daisy's two new favorite things: Her thumb and her jumper swing.

Bailey came in to our room the other day and said "I wrote a song for you." He wrote a new song today so I could make a movie of it. He told me the other day that he was addicted to spongebob. We had been talking about cigarettes and how you can get addicted to them. He also had a conversation with Unkie Rory about addiction and cigarettes. tee hee!

Hi There!

It was a little hard to tell whether Daisy was a bank robber or a kitty in the previous Halloween pics. So, I got some shots with better lighting. Whoo, check out those blue eyes! I am going to try to get better shots of my other cuties too.

The other night we had BBQ Beef sandwiches for dinner. While I was trying to eat, Daisy was requiring to be held! Of course she was wearing white! So, I tucked a napkin in to the back of her outfit so I wouldn't drip on her clothes. I still managed to get BBQ sauce on her sleeve!

I tried to add a video of Lily's Veteran's Day Program but I shot it vertically, and need to figure out how to post it so you don't have to see it sideways!

Trick or Treat

Here are my little spooks! Lily wanted to be something scary this year and picked a vampiress costume. So, I was pushing for the boys to get the skeleton costumes so they would all coordinate with the same scrapbook paper. Hee Hee Hee! Luckily it didn't take much convincing. The boys learned "Trick-or-Trick, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!" and they were singing it all day and even serenaded some of the houses passing out candy. Thank goodness they don't know the toilet version! Even Daisy went Trick-or-Treating. She slept the whole time and since she's getting a little heavy, we had to keep passing her around. Luckily we had 4 adults!

This is our Family Pumpkin. We waited til the last minute to get pumpkins and the reasonable places were all out! We had to go to a pumpkin lot and they only had humongo pumpkins left and they cost about $20. The kids weren't too happy but Donn talked them in to sharing one big pumpkin. Everyone took turns scooping guts and everyone got to choose how one part was carved. It all turned out ok!
