Letters of Intent - 1/21/10

Letters of Intent

Dear Daisy,

Babe! If you are going to get an ear infection could you please have more symptoms than a little ear drainage and occasional mood swings! I hate to think how many days you were in pain before I was able to realize you may have an ear problem. The night of ABSOLUTELY no sleep was helpful but without a fever, without pulling on your ears and mostly behaving like your usual darling self, makes it hard for me tell that there is anything wrong with you! Help me help you sweet baby!

Love,
Your Guilt Ridden Mother

Speaking of Daisy, I could use a little help. I chased the Little Miss around the park the other day and attempted to get a decent shot of her to add to the header.  None of these match the pics of the other kids but I will add one for the time being. Let me know which one of these you like best.

even though this one shows more of her bum than her face, it
demonstrates what usually happens when I try to take Daisy's picture: her trying to GET AWAY!

Now, get on over to Foursons to read more Lovely Letters!

#4 looks closer to the others than the others but I love them all she is just so cute! I bet her and Adlie would have tons of fun playing together!

That's how it was with Buster too. No pulling on his ear or anything. It was finally the fever that made us thinking "hmm?".

I like #3. She sure is a cutie!

I like #1 & #4
although she is adorable in all of them!
hope she gets to feeling better soon :)

Charlie is like that...he kept having all these infections and NO symptoms. Every time we went to the ped. for his well visit, they were like, um, he has an infection. Bless her little heart.
Those picutres are so cute! It's impossible to get pictures of them at this age isn't it? I love them all but 2 might be my favorite.

My kids never had symptoms either...I always felt bad when I would finally take them in and their ears would be ready to explode. Good times as a mom. I won Mom of the year one year for that. Ugh.
I love number 4. Totally cute and the most similar to the kids in the header. Cute. I like them all though. She is adorable.

#4 is my fave. I like the look on her face and it looks like it fits in with the other 3 pretty well.

And don't guilt yourself to much over her ear infection. It may not have been bothering her that much! My kids would have them and I would never know it because they never showed symptoms. We'd be at the doctor for something completely unrelated and they'd tell me my kids had ear infections.

Thanks for linking up!

I'm here from Fourson's blog.

Loving picture #5 -- especially since you say it captures her personality right now! My son's hard to get photos of lately. I have a lot of blurred photos of the back of his head now.

Ear infections are so guilt-inspiring, especially because so often kids don't show the expected symptoms. =(

Following you back!
Totally understand the ear infection problem. Our youngest got them quite often while getting his last molars, so in about grades 3-6. He has a very high pain threshold, and wouldn't tell me tell they hurt a lot. The doctor would get mad at me for not bringing him in earlier, but "he didn't tell me they hurt!!" and no fever. What was I supposed to do?

I vote for 2 or 5, the bum shot is just so cute :)

My son started complaining that his neck hurt. He was still complaining about it the next day; but still eating everything. I decided to take him into the Dr as I was worried maybe he had an ear infection, because of some other symptoms and it turned out he had strep throat. The Dr practically yelled at me as it was such an advanced and horrible case and how did I miss it. The kid was still eating! And he is a picky picky eater as it is. So don't feel bad, we all do it.

My son never had any of the symptoms of an ear infection. I just learned to "know." And then I had to lie my way past the first nurse to get a doctor's appointment...yes he has a fever, yes he's pulling his ear, yes he's really fussy, yes he's got drainage....

I was never wrong, even though he had no symptoms.
