10 Things to Smile About - October

Holy Cow! I've been trying to post this all day! I wanted to add a few pictures but both of my camera cards were having major issues and I couldn't download any pics! I did come up with a solution which you will read about below!

Here are 10 things that I was smiling about in October:

1. In the first 5 days of Oct we had 3 days with rain. And below 100degree temps! yippeeeeee!=)

2. Having the kids home for Fall Break.=)

3.With the cooler weather comes actual cold water coming out of the taps. I love having 3 different water temperatures to do my laundry in, instead of hot, hotter and hottest! Also, brushing teeth with warm water is blicky!=)

4. During Fall Break, Daisy realized that she could make Bailey do whatever she wanted! All I heard all day was "Bah Bah! Bah Bah! Bah Bah" Then I would find the two of them sitting on the couch eating otter pops or playing together in the sandbox or playing pladoh on the back patio or sprinkling fairy dust (sugar) all over the pantry!=)

5. After complaing about the photo contest I entered, I was able to get 2 of my pictures in the top ten finalists. I used 5 emails to vote for my pictures 5 times PER DAY with word verification for EVERY vote. I was determined! I only received votes from myself. If you are interested, you can check out my photos and my competition here. =)

6. A trip to the pumpkin festival. =)

7. Sending the kids back to school after Fall Break. =)

8. The boys really wanted to submit a pumpkin for the contest at school. I had no idea what to do! Carving is not allowed. Then, last week, I met a new bloggy friend and can you believe she had posted pics of some fabulous pumpkins she had decorated. She even said I could copy her idea! I put together the pumpkin last night and delivered it to the school this morning. Thanks Janet! Go check out her pumpkin here. =)

9. I finally took pictures of Daisy in her cute birthday outfit. It's only been 2 months since her birthday! =)

10. Finally figuring out how to get the pictures off of my camera's memory card. It was rocket science actually. I used the cable to attach the camera to the computer's usb port! Genius!! =)

Ah yes, the old camera cord trick. I find the hardest part with that is remembering where the camera cord is. I like your picture by the hay bales. The pumpkin is amazing and Daisy, is as usual, darling.

I've been looking for my camera cord a while now. Can't seem to find it and therefor I have to take pics with our old camera. Ugh lol

Thanks for linking up! So glad you were a finalist. Her birthday outfit is so cute.

I love how you have fall break in there twice :). Sending them back to school is often a great thing.

Great pumpkin! I am loving Miss Daisy's birthday outfit too! Well, I would LOVE to stay and chat, but my hubby gets off in 15 min. (early day today) and, well, I'm still in my pj's, breakfast is still on the counter, the dishes aren't done, etc. I need to go power clean real quick! HAHA!

I love that you say "Blicky" hahaha. It's a great word.

LOL at #7

Why no carving? They aren't doing it at school. Well, it's a great pumpkin! Now I am off to check your photo contest.

Contest? What contest? Did I miss the opportunity to be obnoxious and repeatedly vote for you?

And Daisy looks fabulous, as always!

Um, have to have hot water to brush my teeth. The cold hurts :o)

I always love reading these posts!
I can't imagine not having cold water come out of the tap!

Love your list. I can't even imagaine having hot water all the time, we have to let ours run for a few seconds to get hot and sometimes longer than that. It is also fun to see your kids dressed in shorts for the pumkin patch!
