I've had my camera for about 6 months. In that time, I have tried to come up with a unique and interesting name for her. Nothing seemed to fit her personality!
Then, the other day, something happened that sealed the deal and I KNEW exactly what her name should be!
It was Thursday morning. I knew I needed a picture for my Friday Letter of Intent. My camera has only left the house a few times, mainly because she did not have a proper carrying case. But on this day I decided it would be fun to prance around with my new camera bag.
I did prance. I got the shot I needed. I then carried Daisy and my bowling bag, with my precious camera inside, back to the car. I placed the camera bag on the floor of the car while I put Daisy in her car seat. When she was safely strapped in, I hit the automatic door closing button, hopped in the front seat and drove home.
Once home, we went inside for some lunch and then Daisy went off to have her nap. I decided to try to finish my LOI. Early, for once!
I typed up the letter and went to retrieve my camera so I could add my photo, taken with my super secretive photo taking abilities!
I went out to the car, but the camera, in its cute little bag, was not there!
I thought maybe I had already brought it in the house.
I thought maybe one of the kids brought it in.
There was a lot of searching but NO camera.
I was sick! I was shaking and saying not so nice words over and over and over.
Where had it gone?
The only time I had opened/closed the sliding door had been when I put Daisy in the car and when I got out of the car at home.
Maybe it fell out of the car at the Aquatic Center? If that was the case, did I run over it with my car? If someone found my beautiful, new camera and it's darling camera bag, would they actually turn it in?
I didn't think so!
How could I lose something that expensive? What about the 100+ pictures on the camera card inside the camera?
I called the aquatic center.
Me: "Hi, I was just calling to see if you maybe had someone turn in a camera in a red camera bag?"
My new best friend: "YES! Someone found it in the parking lot!"
Sweet Relief!!!
And so, I shall call her Lucky!

WOW!!! So glad someone didn't keep it!!! Lucky is a great name!
What a blessing! So glad you got lucky back! I lost mine one time, in a theater in Branson, at the end of a vacation so there were hundreds of pictures on it. I was so panicked! Thankfully it was waiting for me at the ticket window! :)
By the way ... one of my son's friends has a camera that he named Isabella Shotz. He made *her* a FB profile and is in a relationship with her! It's complicated! Sheesh!
oh.emh.G!!!!! I WOULD HAVE DIED!!
LUCKY is so fitting!

Oh man! I'd have had a major attack if I had lost that kind of a camera! :D Good think you found it. Lucky sounds so perfect!
Yeah for Lucky! That is a great name.
Oh my gosh, I was holding my breath the whole time you were searching for your camera bag. I would have been FREAKING out if I were you and I know some choice words would have been spilling out of my mouth. Thank goodness you found Lucky!
Oh my goodness!!! I think I threw up in my mouth 15 times reading this. It's my WORST nightmare!!!!!! I am so glad you got her back. I'm going to lay down now to recover...
No waaaaay! That is so cool - God is good! :) I am so glad for you, I would have been sick if someone hadn't turned it in. Because if *I* had found it, I would have been mighty tempted to give you back the camera and "lose" the bag :) JUST KIDDING!
(I lost a memory card from our honeymoon in Hawaii... I am still sick about that!)
Thanks for linking up!
Omgosh...I am so happy for you! I would have had a mild heart attack and then had to be put in a straight jacket if my camera went missing.
So glad someone turned it in.
Oh no. Lucky is a great name because a lot of people would not have turned that in. I am so glad they did.
I have to be honest my heart was racing a bit with that post. I am sooo glad you got your camera back. That would be one true story I would have to keep from the hubs.
I can't believe someone actually turned it in! Now that is luck!!!
I would lose my mind if I lost my beloved camera!
Good to know that there are still some good honest people left in the world....
glad you found your girl..
OH MY HECK!!!! Girl, I thought I was going to hyperventilate reading this story... WOW! I'm SO glad an honest person found Lucky!!! (I'm still in LOVE with Lucky's bag)
I guess this means you have to take back all the stuff about the stupid people in line at the Aquatic Center... they might be stupid, but at least one of them is a good citizen! :)
Oh I am so so happy for you. So glad someone honest found it. Oh I would just cry and cry if I lost my camera.
Girl, you had someone watching over you and your camera!!!!!!!!!!
Geez... what a heart stopper! Glad you and Lucky were reunited ~
