Letters of Intent

Foursons

__________________

Dear Local News Channel,

I recently submitted 4 of my photos to your "Kids Costume" Photo Contest. I would really appreciate knowing why you are calling it a "photo" contest when it is clearly a "see how many emails you can sign up for and then vote for your own picture" contest. Since registering for your site is a requirement before voting, I am pretty sure that only the people that submitted photos are going to take the time to vote!

I am not a professional photographer but I am not going to be happy if a photo that someone didn't even bother to remove the red-eye from beats one of my shots.

Sincerely,
Not Even Sure Why I Bothered

Letters of Intent - Eclipse Edition

Foursons

Brought to You by Julie, and guest hosted by the lovely Rachel today!

Dear Makers of Twilight Movies,
I LOVED the latest installment to the saga and am REALLY looking forward to many more viewings when Eclipse is released on DVD. But do you really have to make us wait until December 2011 to see Breaking Dawn? I don't think I can wait that long.
Sincerely,
A Loyal Twihard

Dear Customer Service Employee at The Theaters,
It was really very nice of you to exchange our 8:50pm tickets, that I purchased online, for the 30 minutes earlier showing of Eclipse. I really thought we would need to get in line an hour before the movie started but when we showed up and were the first ones in line, I realized we could have gone to the earlier show and rescued Grandpa M from the Three Musketeers that much sooner!
Sincerely,
Seriously, Thanks For Your Help

Dear Grandpa M,
Thank you soooooooooooo much for watching our 3 young kiddos, AT BED TIME, so we wouldn't have to wait another day to see Eclipse! We Love You!!
Love,
Your Daughter

Dear Fellow Twihards Waiting to Enter the Theater,
Since there were about 30 of you ahead of us in line, I was really worried that we would not be able to get my favorite seats in the theater. You know, the ones right in front, with the very handy bars to rest your feet on? I was shocked AND overjoyed that you passed right by these wonderful seats and left 3 of them empty just for us! I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciated this!
Sincerely,
Very Grateful

Dear Followers/Friends/Lurkers,
Did you catch that? There were 3 of us at the movies last night. Obviously, Lily and I were there! But what you may not have noticed yet is that DaddyO braved the mostly teen aged Twilight fans and accompanied us to the show. Oh yes he did!
Sincerely,
LOVED Eclipse and Also, LOVED Not Having to Drive Home in the Dark (horrible night vision)

Go visit Foursons to read more letters and to maybe offer Julie, who had a broken and then surgeried hand this week, some words of encouragement!

Hey You Guys!
I know that surgeried is not a word!
Love,
H

Letters of Intent - 6/18/10

Dear Parents Waiting in Line at the Aquatic Center,

Last week I "thanked" you for your horrible waiting in line skills, i.e. standing in the middle of the parking lot and blocking my exit from said lot. Today I must sincerely thank you for receiving all of my subliminal messages, making sure your heads are screwed on tight and realizing it is a much better idea to line up on the sidewalk! I could kiss you all! (can you imagine that?)

Love,
A Shocked and Amazed but Very Grateful Parent, Leaving the Aquatic Center

p.s. Just for you, I used my children to help me photograph this event!

Dear Children-O-Mine,
I can't entertain you every minute of the day! Please stop fighting with eachother! You have only been out of school for 1 week and you have already received too many early bedtimes and injuries from your squabbles!
Just get along!!
Love,
Your peace lovin' Mama.

Here are our attempts at keeping the kids busy during our First Week of Summer Break:

DaddyO broke out the waterslide and rotates it around the yard so the kids can use it every day and it won't kill the grass!

Swimmin' at Grandma and Grandpa C's!

Snow Cones! Clothing optional!

Just taking it easy!

I am also joining in with Friday-Follow. HELLO, to anyone new visiting for the first time!

Letters of Intent - 5/7/10

Foursons

Dear Brainsurgeons Who Think It's Funny To Have Halloween in May,

I don't know who decided it would be a good idea to have a "Favorite Book Character Parade" but you are making my life very difficult. Of course, my kids want to participate in the parade, unfortunately I do not have an unlimited supply of "Book Character" costumes. My efforts to come up with suitable costumes backfired (see letter below).

Love,
A Mother Who is Just Trying To Play Along
___________________________________________

Dear A and B,

I know you guys wanted to participate in the "Dress-up" Parade. I tried to make it work. I searched the stores and couldn't come up with anything from a book that any of us had read. And I was not willing to spend a gazillion dollars for a 5 minute parade that did not also include candy that I could steal from you.

Ashton, I know you wanted to be Santa from The Polar Express! I remembered at midnight after I came out of my Joshua Radin trance. I sizzled every last brain cell trying to figure out how I could make a Santa beard. With no cotton balls in the house, I really had to be creative. I thought what I made with a headband, an oval punch, white cardstock and tape was acceptable. Call me crazy (I am).

Bailey, I know that you wanted to be Superman, but we haven't ever read a Superman book. However, you did bring home a Captain Underpants book from the library this week and I knew your Superman costume could help make a great Captain Underpants. So what if it looks like you are wearing a diaper! You look exactly like the cover of the book!

Boys, I went to bed at 1:30am after rounding up all the necessary supplies for your costumes only to be relentlessly harrassed the next morning because you did not approve of my resourceful ideas! If I had taken the time to argue with you about it you would have been late for school. So, I had to send you to the "Favorite Book Character" parade as Superman and Batman. Booooooooring! I was present for the parade and I know that these costumes would have been admired or at least appreciated by your classmates!

Love,
Your Tortured Mother Who is Slowly Going Insane

LOI - Dear Julie

Foursons

Dear Julie,

Happy Day After April Fools Day! I hope you have fully recovered from "Operation Punk Julie"! I really didn't think you would fall for it! When I woke up Thursday morning and read your post, I thought "SHE KNOWS! She's just writing this post to mess with us!" I didn't think you would believe that that many people would be crazy enough to unfollow YOU! I never participate in April Fools pranks but I just couldn't resist messing with your Blog Domination plans for just a minute! The fact that you got a few extra followers out of the deal really helps with any guilt that may have been involved on my part. I hoped, in the end, you would see that we all did it out of love!

Did you really think that that many people would unfollow you in one day?

Yours truly,
A loyal follower who may be trying to suck up just a bit to make sure there are no hard feelings.

Go visit Julie at Foursons to see how everyone else apologized/explained our April Fools day prank!

LOI - THE VIOLATION

Foursons

Dear Compliance Officer,

Thank you for your recent letter informing us of the following, major violation:

You have a Salt Cedar growing inside another plant. This is a noxious weed and will kill your othre plants. The plants noted above are prohibited in the Design Guidelines for planting and according to the CC&Rs Article 9 Section 2 for The Subdivision We Live In. Please remove the plants immediately. Thank you.

Although I appreciate you letting us know that this 'weed' is going to kill our other plants, do you really think we were leaving it there because we like the way it looked? Weeds are prohibited in OUR design guidelines as well and as soon as you can talk Mother Nature in to not raining on the weekend we will be out there removing all of our violations! Also, this noxious weed was growing out of a lantana plant. NOTHING kills lantana!

It seems that you are pulling violations out of your a** in an attempt to collect money from the very few residents who pay their HOA dues EVERY MONTH. With all the foreclosures in the neighborhood and families that, most likely,  just can't afford their dues, I am sure you are receiving drastically less money each month. Maybe you could give us a break for having one weed in our yard when there are many other homes in the neighborhood that are overgrown weed fests!

My anger has subsided considerabley after making you send additional copies of this violation letter to me 3 TIMES! Bawahahahahaha!!
After I calmed down I found this violation to be hilarious and will mostly likely include it in a future scrapbook page.

Love,
A Shocked and Angered but Eventually Tickled Pink Resident

p.s. I will probably have to let this weed grow up through the lantana AGAIN so I can get a picture!

Letters of Intent

Foursons

Dear DaddyO,

Problem #1: When we receive an hysterical letter from the HOA informing us of ridiculous violations, PLEASE don't throw the letter away. My first thought upon reading this letter was "This will make a perfect Letter of Intent!"
Since I didn't memorize the entire violation, I needed to refer back to this letter for my post. In an attempt to remedy the situation, I had to email the Compliance Coordinator for our HOA and ask if I could please get a copy of the letter. I did not think she would understand why I needed another letter when you had already taken care of the problem!

Problem #2: After receiving a 2nd copy of the violation letter, PLEASE do not delete the email! Now I don't have the proper information to adequately write my Letter of Intent for the second week in a row!

These problems have forced me to include you in my blog post for today!

Love,
Your wife who obviously needs to be more clear about her blogging needs and wants!

p.s. Thanks for playing along, DaddyO, and pre-approving this letter so I wouldn't have to skip Julie's meme this week. Everyone knows that it was impossible for you to know I would want to save a Compliance Violation letter!

Letters of Intent-2/19/10

Letters of Intent

Dear Julie,

This one's for you!

Love,
Your loyal blog friend who is trying to help out when you are not feeling so well!
_________________________________________________

Dear Blogger

To start, let me tell you how much I love and depend on my Blog Roll! It is an invaluable tool that I use every day to keep track of all of my bloggy friends. So please try to understand my distress when i realized my posts were not updating on my friend's blog rolls.

When I publish a new post I would like my friends to be made aware of it immediately. Some of my posts are feeling neglected because they are not receiving their proper recognition before I publish another post.

I have visited the "Help" section and found that there are many other blogs experiencing this same situation and there is even a special Thread just for this problem.

I am afraid my bloggy friends probably think I am stalking them because I show up on their BlogFrog widget every 30 minutes checking their Blog Roll to see if my post has updated yet!

Help!

Love,
A Customer Dealing with Disgruntled Blog Posts

Okie Dokie! Go, NOW, to Foursons to examine more Letters of Intent!

*update: This post updated IMMEDIATELY on Brandi's blog. Perfect! Luckily I have already confessed to stalking her blog so she is used to seeing my face on her Blog Frog widget!
